Academic Coaching & Tutoring

Coaches and tutors help students understand academic content while teaching them how to learn efficiently and improve time management

How it works?

Meet with Coach

We work with students and parents every step of the way to make sure academic goals are met.

Self Evaluate

Every student starts somewhere. We track progress and identify weaknesses in grade performance, skill development, and habit formation.

Build Skills

Each mind works differently. We help students develop skills and strategies that are most effective for them. We teach students how to create action plans and how to properly execute them.

Strong Student

Our students know how to learn and study effectively – better yet, they are happy and have time to focus on athletics, friends, and whatever else teenagers do!

“We were so concerned with our son’s future. His grades were poor and he did not care about school. Yesterday, our son got accepted to Northeastern, his top school. We believe wholeheartedly that if Peak Scholars had not taught our son how to prepare for tests and how to get focused he would have never gotten in.”   Read more…

It was a tremendous help having Heather coach our daughter once a week. Our daughter immediately responded to Heather’s teaching techniques and now knows how study for all of her major subjects including how to use her textbook. Heather also helped our daughter get organized and showed her how to use her IPad without distractions. We plan to use her again in the future with our 5th grade daughter. Read more…

The key is not what you study, it’s how you study.

Why Academic Coaching?

Mentorship: Our academic coaches go far beyond regular tutoring. We are mentors who believe every mind learns differently and every student defines their future through self-awareness and hard work.

Skill Integration: We focus on developing students’ skills such as time management, study strategies, and self-confidence while attending to their academic needs. Each coach helps students learn multiple subject matter and teaches students how to integrate life skills into their studies and lives.

Evaluations: We evaluate our students holistically. Coaches identify weak areas such as ineffective studying, bad habits, procrastination, disorganization etc. Then we work with our students to strengthen weaknesses, form better habits, develop study systems, and boost productivity.

  • Confidence 62% 62%
  • Time Managment 65% 65%
  • Organization 77% 77%
  • Study System 82% 82%
  • Procrastination 99% 99%

Action Plans: Coaches help students learn how to achieve their goals efficiently. When realistic goals are made, Coaches and students work together to create an action plan and execute it. As a result, students are able to focus, sharpen their direction and meet their goals.

Self-Awareness: We ask our students why? Why do you avoid certain subjects? Why are your grades inconsistent? Why are you studying? Why do you go to bed at 2am? We challenge our students to self evaluate and question their habits, motives, processes, and actions in order to better understand themselves.
