Overview: A good refresher, this 4 hour workshop reviews the most effective ways to answer SSAT questions. Students learn how to study for the SSAT efficiently and practice strategies for the Verbal, Quantitative, and Reading section. The workshop aims to make sure students have the strategies fresh in their mind right before they enter the test.
Goal: Increase SSAT score percentage and identify correct answers faster and easier.
Types of Students: Recommended for students planning on taking the SSAT.
Importance
The SSAT is required for students trying to get into Private School. Luckily, studying for the SSAT comes with many advantages. Students learn process of elimination skills, testing strategies, and sharpen their math, reading comprehension, and writing skills. The SSAT is also a perfect opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with standardize testing early in their academic career since they will be taking the ACT and SAT before applying to college.
Practicing strategies for each section is the most effective way to study for the SSAT since standardize tests mimic the same formulas over and over again. The more familiar a student is with types of questions on the test and how to answer them, the higher their score.
Students should aim to achieve 90% correct on practice tests in order to be competitively prepared for the test.
